Privacy Policy
This policy covers Tactego, our strategy game for iPhone and iPad, and this website. Tactego keeps local games on your device, uses Apple’s Game Center for online play and achievements, and shares anonymous usage statistics unless you turn sharing off in Settings.
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Tactego is in development. This policy describes the current app; we will update it as its features and data handling change. Local data · Usage statistics and opt-out · Game Center
Who we are
Expedited Ventures, LLC is a software studio based in the United States and is responsible for the data handling described here. For anything related to privacy, write to support@expedited.ventures.
This website
- This is a static website with no advertising networks, advertising pixels or embedded videos or social feeds.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. It processes connection data such as your IP address, requests and browser headers to deliver pages, protect the service from abuse and provide traffic statistics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of that data.
- Cloudflare inserts its Web Analytics script when delivering the pages. The site’s security policy currently blocks that script from running and sending browser analytics. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as using no cookies or local storage for analytics and no fingerprinting of visitors; see Cloudflare Web Analytics. The app’s usage-sharing setting applies to Tactego, separately from Cloudflare’s website hosting.
- The website has no account system or contact form. If you choose to email us, we receive the information you include in your message.
When you email us
If you write to hello@expedited.ventures or support@expedited.ventures, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to respond and maintain support history.
We use your address to reply, do not add you to mailing lists, and do not share your message outside the company except with the service provider that hosts our email. Please leave passwords, payment details and other sensitive information out of support messages.
Tactego: local data
- Local games and preferences. Saved computer and Pass & Play games, saved army setups, game statistics and settings are stored on your device. The app also keeps local copies of online matches so it can display them and retry pending turns. Tactego does not provide iCloud syncing for these saves and settings.
- On-device computer opponent. The computer opponent runs on your device. Tactego does not send game positions to an external AI service.
- No studio account. You do not create an account with Expedited Ventures. Computer games and Pass & Play do not require Game Center sign-in. Online play and Game Center achievements use your Apple Game Center account.
- No ads or tracking. Tactego has no advertising networks and does not track you across apps or websites. Its current development build has no in-app purchases.
- Device access. Tactego does not request access to your camera, microphone, location or phone contacts. Game Center may ask permission to connect you with friends who play the game, as described below.
Anonymous usage statistics
Expedited Ventures, LLC ("we") uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service run by TelemetryDeck GmbH in Germany, which processes this data only on our behalf and protects it at least as this policy describes, so we can see which features people use and where the game can improve.
A statistic is a short event about how the app is used ("product interaction"), such as "app opened", "game started against the Medium computer", "game finished: win after 24 minutes", "How to Play opened", "setting changed: sound off", "achievement unlocked", or a step of starting an online match. It comes with the app version, the iOS version, the device model (for example "iPhone14,6"), whether the app came from the App Store or TestFlight, the app's language, your device's preferred language and region setting, and the day (not the time) the app was first used with sharing on.
To count how many people use the app without knowing who they are, the app creates a random number when you first use it and sends only a salted, one-way hash of it, which TelemetryDeck hashes again with its own salt. This is the only persistent identifier used to count installations. Tactego’s privacy disclosures classify it as "Device ID", not linked to your identity; each usage session also has a random identifier.
We never send your name, your Game Center name or ID, your contacts, your location, your moves or army setups, the advertising identifier or the identifiers Apple's system provides for your device to TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and rounds the time of each event to the hour. We do not combine this data with other data, use it for advertising or sell it, and it is not used to track you across apps or websites.
Sharing is on when you install the app. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share anonymous usage data. The app then stops sending at once, deletes the statistics it has not yet sent and deletes its random number; if you turn sharing on again, the app starts over with a new random number.
Once you turn sharing off, the statistics already sent can no longer be tied to you or your device, because the random number is gone, so we cannot find or delete them individually; they remain in anonymous form. TelemetryDeck’s Privacy FAQ states that it has no fixed deletion schedule for stored anonymous events. Game Center (online play and achievements) is provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Technical context also includes the app build number, device architecture, whether the build is a development build or simulator, a random session identifier and an event timestamp. Game events can include the mode, difficulty, side, whether custom rules were used, the result, ending reason, move count and duration. TestFlight builds send statistics in TelemetryDeck’s test mode.
For details about the service’s handling, see TelemetryDeck’s Privacy FAQ, its identifier anonymization explanation and its privacy policy.
Game Center
Online matches and achievements use Apple’s Game Center. To run an online match, Tactego sends and receives match records, including army setups, moves and results, through Game Center. The app uses Game Center player identifiers and display names to show participants and manage matches, and can use Game Center’s friend-sharing permission for invitations. Achievement progress is also reported to Apple.
These services are separate from anonymous usage statistics: Game Center names, identifiers, moves and army setups are not sent to TelemetryDeck. Turning usage sharing off does not disable online play or achievements.
Apple handles Game Center data under Game Center & Privacy. Your Game Center profile and sharing choices can affect what other players see. You can manage those choices in your device’s Game Center settings.
Children
Tactego is a general-audience game and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, contact support@expedited.ventures so we can delete it. Apple provides Game Center restrictions through Screen Time; anonymous usage sharing can be turned off in Tactego’s Settings.
Your rights and choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by emailing support@expedited.ventures. We will honor deletion requests within 30 days. If you live in a place with specific privacy rights, the same address is the way to exercise them.
We cannot access local saves and preferences on your device. Apple manages data held by Game Center. For anonymous usage statistics, turning sharing off deletes the app’s identifier and unsent events; the retention and limits on finding already-sent statistics are explained above.
Security
Support correspondence is kept in access-controlled business email. Local game data is protected by your device’s security and backups. Anonymous usage statistics are sent over HTTPS. Apple and Cloudflare apply their own protections to the services they provide.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. We will update the policy and applicable App Store privacy information when a new app feature changes how data is handled.
